Eleanor's Ten Marathons in Ten Days 2013

Brathay 10 in 10 2013 · 10 May 2013 to 19 May 2013 ·
Only 2 weeks to go before the toughest challenge of my life. Running is the easy bit though- Brathay Trust do the real work by changing young people's lives
5 weeks tomorrow! Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. It really does help motivate me on the colder, wetter days!
How to spend Mothers Day - run a really tough, windy marathon :) The Bolton Hill marathon in fact. I enjoyed most of it! All in the name of training for running 10 marathons in 10 days in May.

I'm off up to Brathay today for a training weekend. It's all about to become real! Only the one marathon planned for Saturday though ;-)
In May 2013 I will be lining up on the lawn of Brathay Hall, Ambleside, with 15 other runners, at the start of the Ten in Ten 2013. I will be aiming to complete 10 marathons in 10 days. Yes, 10 MARATHONS in 10 DAYS, or 262 miles. It's a unique event, and a massive personal challenge for me. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, and I've finally grasped the nettle! I know it's mad, I know it will be tough, so please support me. And let me know if you want to come on a run.
The Brathay Trust work with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people all over the country, to give them a better chance in life. I'm lucky- and get to run round one of the most beautiful places in the UK to raise money to support this great cause.
