Story
My daughter Eliana was born prematurely and suffered brain damage. This has caused a serious visual impairment and Diplegic Cerebral Palsy.
Eliana has been approved for a spinal cord operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy in St Louis, USA, by the pioneering surgeon who invented the procedure. It is a spinal cord operation that could eliminate the spasticity in her legs and is not available on the NHS.
Friends and family of Eliana will be walking all or part of the 30 mile walk with me to help raise the necessary funds to make this dream operation a reality.
Eliana will require intensive physiotherapy for at least a year after the operation. Families like us are fundraising all over the country and it is our hope and dream to give Eliana the best chance of living as full a life as we can. With a little help from a lot of people, we can achieve this.
