Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Approximately 7 months ago, and after 2 years of passing out in random places, I finally received my pacemaker for an AV node block. I suddenly felt 'alive' and 'bionic'! I could hardly wait to jump back on horse and live my life again! Upon waking from my surgery, I quite literally, started my training for the Brighton Half Marathon. This has been and extremely long process, but an integral part to my cardiac rehab. I started off with shuffling along the Brighton seafront to jogging for 30 seconds/walking 2 minutes! I can now run 10 miles non-stop. I'm raising money for the Arrhythmia Alliance, a charity which strives for access to early diagnosis, appropriate treatment, ongoing patient support and improved quality of life for those affected by cardiac arrhythmias. Arrhythmia Alliance’s vision continues to be that 'Every person affected by an arrhythmia will receive information, support and rapid access to appropriate treatment'. This charity provided me with advice and support about my particular arrhythmia and living with a pacemaker. Help me achieve my goal of running 13 miles (Brighton Half Marathon) and 26.2 miles (Brighton Marathon) by donating just a few pence to this fantastic charity!
