<p><span style="color: #99cc00;">My name is Elisha, I am currently 17 years of age and i am going ahead with the challenge of completing the Three Peaks Challenge on the 12th of August this year. This will be taken place over a period of 3 days walking up the three highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland. To do so we will awaken very early in the morning travelling in a minibus, there is a group of about 8 of us doing the walk, each for different charities, after we have completed the first mountain we will be finding a base cooking and then sleeping, for a very early awakening to complete the next mountains. The reason for the choice of charity is because when i was about 9 my dad discovered he had a brain tumor, he had an operation however not all of it was removed because it could have made him partially blind as it was too close to his eye. the doctors said it was ok, but they were to do tests every year to check on the growth, sadly when i was 12, it grew slightly and he then had to undertake another operation which involved laser surgery. I am very proud of what my dad has been through and would like to do something for him and for everyone who has been through what we have. This year it will be extra special because unfortunately my dad couldnt complete a skydive due to the illness however he will be doing this challenge with me.
