MAD MARCH cross-country with friends for the Friends of the Beatson! Between 16th and 20th July I am hiking/running through the hills (120km or so) from Loch Fyne to Loch Tay. Friends and family will be joining me en route. AND WE DID IT . . . ! My fantastic nieces Ishbel and Ailsa and my wee dog Molly completed 77 miles of beautiful boggy Scotland with me en route from Minard to Ardeonaig, arriving 5pm on Wednesday 20th July. We had lots of fun along the way with the best support team of my husband and family and friends that joined us for much of the route.
The Friends of the Beatson is a fantastic charity that runs alongside Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow, providing a wealth of complementary comforts to patients having treatment for cancer. My husband, Craig has enjoyed their excellent services recently and we want to give something back so that more people can have the opportunity to benefit from what is a very special place.
