Update: Thank you for all who have sponsored us!! There are now 8 of us running and 2 walking for the remainder of the time. Dave and I are still running for 104 days and everyone who has joined us is aiming to run 104k. Every penny you donate will go to the Neonatal Units to support families at this extremely difficult time. Thank you for helping us to say thank you to them for the incredible work they do. 

This time last year our daughter Norah was born at 25 weeks. She received incredible care from the Neonatal Units in both of the Nottingham hospitals. Norah was in intensive care for 104 days.  Tomorrow is her birthday and so we have decided to run every day until the date she came home from hospital. To spur us on we would love you to donate so that we can help to provide Christmas gifts for the babies currently in intensive care and their siblings this year. 

Having Norah in hospital last Christmas was hard for all of us as a family but when we arrived at hospital to see her on Christmas day it was so special to see they had provided her with lovely presents and gifts for the boys too. There was something about receiving presents for her that made us feel she was being cared for and recognised as a real little person and a special part of our family even though she was a tiny baby in an incubator! She had a lot of medical needs that they were taking care of but this provision felt particularly special and important to us at that time of year when we couldn't be together. 

We know this costs a lot for the hospital charity to organise and so we want to help towards this particularly as this has been a really difficult year for those who have babies on the neonatal units.

We will both be running up until the end of February each day, come rain or shine, in snow and hail, some days for shorter and some days for longer (unless we get ill of course!) We would love you to spur us on by donating to this cause which is so close to our hearts.
