Saint Francis Hospice is a leading provider of palliative care for people living in Havering, Brentwood, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham. We care for people from 18 years of age, of any race or religion, who have a life limiting illness due to cancer, heart disease, motor neurone disease or respiratory disease and we provide physical, spiritual and emotional care and support to patients and their families.

Story

As most of you know I am battling Stage IV, Secondary Breast Cancer. there is no Stage V. Secondary Breast cancer is cancer that started in the breast and has spread to other parts of the body. In my case my Spine, Bones, Lungs and Liver, although my Lungs are currently in remission. Stage IV is incurable. I will be on chemo for the rest of my life, week in week out.

I attend free Day Therapy Sessions at Saint Francis Hospice, Havering-Atte-Bower, Romford, every week on a Wednesday. I have been attending since March this year. During these session I have access to Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Complimentary Therapists, Family Support Services (counselling), Creative Therapy Services and Chaplin. these session have proved invaluable in how I cope with living with the life limiting illness, that is cancer.

Your donation will help Saint Francis Hospice care for me each week and others like me. Even a £1 helps supply refreshments during a session which opens up the opportunity to chat with others in my situation.

Thank you for taking the time to read my page and for any donation you can spare.

Much love,
