This is my story.

I was 3 years old when I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. I went through 4 years of chemotherapy before I was finally discharged to outpatients. In 2001 my twin sisters, Charlotte and Lydia, were born. Unfortunately, Lydia was diagnosed at birth with a Congenital Heart defect, Lydia has undergone two major heart surgeries.

We are now both healthy and happy.

These unfortunate events were very hard on myself and my family, even with the wonderful support of the NHS staff and many friends. Times like these it's hard to smile through and make happy memories. Wishes 4 Kids granted my family 'wishes' with trips to Disneyland, London Theatre trips, watching the Spice Girls live and Donington park race track days. These 'Wishes' gave me and my family reasons to smile and laugh and moments to forget the trials and tribulations of caring for poorly children and be able to be a normal family. 

This is now my time to give something back and help many families have their 'Wishes' granted and find their smiles and make many happy memories.
