Earlier this year I heard from Holly who, in her words, is “one of the
lucky ones”; her son was saved by Anthony Nolan. Every year there are over
2,000 people in the UK just like Holly’s son who need a bone marrow or stem
cell transplant. In 2017/18 Anthony Nolan gave the second chance of life to an
incredible 1396, but there is still more to do: just 60% of patients can find
the best possible match for a lifesaving stem cell transplant.  Holly’s
story has inspired me to take on the 3 Peaks this summer to fundraise for
Anthony Nolan and save more lives.
