The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It was October 2011 and I ended up really ill.  I could berely speak to anyone let alone get out of bed and when I did, just going to the toilet and back exhausted me.  I went to the doctors and was tested.  All tests came back clear. Just slightly anemic,  I spoke to friends when I was able and started researching the possibility of ME.

An aquaintence has ME and she surgested this could be a possibility I went back to the doctors and they blew it out of the water and wouldn't entertain the possibility.

The more I researched about ME and was in contact with other people who suffer I found that this was the general treatment of people.

I am now better, though I still don't know what the illness was which I suffered from.  It opened my eyes to how this illness has been badly represented in the past by the Media and is in desperate need of wider understanding and support for sufferers who are blighted by this awful disease.
