Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I'm absolutely thrilled to be fundraising for Unicef and desperately want to smash my target - so grateful to you for helping me to do this!

There are 65 of us in Team Unicef, with 20 on the 70ft yacht at any one time,  competing with 11 other teams to complete the global circumnavigation in the 2017-18 edition of the Clipper Race.  Some are completing one leg, others two or three, seven are in it for all eight legs, all of us are facing the race of our lives!

In all this, I'm completing the longest leg. Australia to China. 6000 miles (swallow tattoo apparently). Crossing the equator (turtle tattoo). 55ish days at sea. 6 hours on, 6 hours off during the day. 4 hours on, 4 hours off, 4 hours on overnight. And repeat ad infinitum. From height of summer to depths of winter.  I was horrendously seasick on only my second week of training.  (UPDATE:  I was slightly less horrendously seasick on my third week of training - progress!) This could be quite tough...

UNICEF is the official charity partner for the Clipper Race, but for us, it's more than that. Being part of the official UNICEF crew means that we need to obliterate the fundraising targets.
