Story

I don't normally buy into this sort of thing, but as my hair has been with me for 28 years now, with only minor trims, lopping it all off is going to be a pretty big event. And I thought it would best be commemorated with this page. Please, if you feel you can part with any cash at all [1 pound would be grand] for MacMillan Cancer Support, feel free to, here.

I will be cutting off around ONE METER of hair, all of which will go to a children's charity which makes wigs for little sprogs who have lost their hair from cancer therapy and other illnesses and treatments.

The rather ghastly picture of me is now around three years old. My locks haven't been chopped at all since then, so imagine this, only ten or twelve inches longer. It's nearly at my knees. But not for long...

Thanks a lot for giving some money. I, my hair, and the lovely people at MacMillan all very much appreciate it, and those benefitting from your dosh will no doubt appreciate it even more.

Please tell anyone you think might be willing to give some money, if you're happy to. I'm not good at facebook, and don't use twitter, but if you are, or do.... please spread the word...

Thanks a big lot.

Ellie

The official blurb:

"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."
