My story
After completing my first marathon last year, I've decided 2012 will be the year of two marathons. On Sunday 22nd April I will join the thousands of other runners pounding the streets of London for the 2012 London Marathon. A few months later, on 30th September, I'll then do it all again in Berlin.
As with last year, I have been touched by the number of people who have asked if they can make a charitable donation on my behalf. So, once again I have decided to donate any funds to Headway Essex, a charity which provides care and support for survivors of brain injury and their families and carers (www.headwayessex.org.uk).

Imagine waking up and not recognising your own child, not remembering your family or friends and having to re-learn your life Headway Essex cares for people who have acquired a brain injury and this may be through sporting or work accidents, road traffic accidents, assault, illness or disease.
