Im Ellie and Im 15 and going into year 11 at Weydon School:)

In the summer of 2011 I am travelling to Ghana with a small group of students from my school, living and working in a community in Dwabor for three weeks. The expedition is run by Sabre, a non profitable charity that helps small communities build facilities and improve learning. Whilst in Dwabor, we aim to carry out a project that will be decided by our team. The project may consist of building a library, painting & furnishing of classrooms & organising a sports  day, either way, it benefits the community and helps the children with their learning. It will be a great opportunity to create links with the school in Dwabor & our school, Weydon. There will be extra costs depending on the size of the project we choose to undertake, these costs will be raised by the group equally. The total I am trying to raise is around £2500, which covers all costs. I have already started fundraising, and all my extra time is taken up by jobs such as babysitting, car washing and gardening. Over the coming months I will be organising some large events, and sponsored events too, these i will write about on the page, in the hope that i receive some donations/sponsorship towards this good cause!
