Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

Make-A-Wish is a charity with a single purpose - they grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children fighting life threatening conditions. Make-A-Wish needs to raise £7.5m in a year to grant the wishes of 1000 children. Donating just a small amount makes a difference and helps them get closer to reaching this target and changing more children's lives.

For this reason I am going to test my limits with a 6 day trek across the high Peruvian Andes, reaching heights of 4000m, with several hours of trekking a day. Over this journey I will be following in the footsteps of the Spanish Conquistadors and early 20th century explorers to reach the lost Incan city of Machu Picchu. It's going to be extremely tough, but also the journey of a lifetime!
