The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 12 September 2009

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) is the UK’s leading charity representing and supporting half a million adults with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and children and young people with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), through our helpline, information services, research and campaigns.

Story

We will walk the three highest peaks in Yorkshire in one day!!

We will climb Penyghent (694m, 2277ft), Whernside (736m, 2415ft) and Ingleborough (723m, 2372ft) and cover approximately 23 - 25 miles with a total ascent of 5486ft within 8-14 hours.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic, progressive and disabling auto-immune disease affecting approximately 750,000 people in the UK adult population. It is an incredibly painful condition and can cause severe disability. The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society provides support and information for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, their families, friends and carers, and provides much needed funding in to research and testing for new drugs to treat the disease.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is part of the lives of the whole team taking part in the three peaks challenge in one way or another... Please donate to our worthy cause to support the NRAS in raising the funds they so desperately need. We're looking to raise at least £300 each for the challenge and hope you can help us on our way to our £1500 target!

A Great Big THANK YOU for your donation from Ellie, Simon, Martin, Hannah and Matt!!!!!
