Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

On 2nd March we are running the Silverstone Half Marathon in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
This will be Ellie's 10th half marathon and Nigel's first half marathon. Nigel doesn't really enjoy running all that much unless there is a football involved! So although it's only a half it's a decent goal for him!
We are running for BTR in memory of our friend Simon Turton (see the SimonSays page http://www.justgiving.com/teams/simon-says) who sadly died in 2011 at the age of 36; and in support of the battle faced by Ellie's cousin Edward who was diagnosed with a brain tumour just over a year ago. After lengthy and extremely challenging treatment he is winning his battle.
Currently research into brain tumours receives less than 1% of the national spend on cancer research, despite more children and adults under 40 dying of a brain tumour than any other cancer.
Every donation made will be greatly appreciated.
