We support homeless and vulnerable people to make positive changes in their lives

Story

Convincing myself that getting a place to run in the first ever Brighton Marathon would be impossible I tried my luck to get one of the few places available for sale. Surprisingly (and perhaps disappointingly), I got in and now have little choice but to run the full 26.2 mile race on the 18th April this year!

This will be my first marathon and a challenge I really hope I can complete and enjoy.

Getting up at 5am several times a week to set out running in the rain, wind, hail or even snow is not the easiest of tasks for me but I am lucky enough to be able to return to a warm home and a hearty breakfast before I set off to work. Not everybody is as fortunate as me which is why I am going to take this opportunity to try and raise some money and awareness for a charity local to me that offer shelter, information and support to empower homeless and vulnerable individuals to make positive changes in their lives.
