Smile Malawi holds a Christmas party for the village children every year and in 2009 over 600 children congregated on the football pitch next to the Children’s Centre, all with their own mugs and plates, which were soon filled with biscuits and squash. It doesn’t sound much but these children never taste such things normally so it was a real treat for them. Afterwards Smile Malawi gave out chickens to the children to take home for their dinner. This is often the only time these children taste chicken as their families are too poor to buy for themselves. Please help raise the funds to pay for the party and chickens this year.
