<p>Elsie, was a beautiful little girl, full of love, life and kindness.</p> <p>Shockingly, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour (diffuse pontine glioma) in June 2011, shortly after her 6th birthday. There is no cure for this condition. Elsie responded well to radiotherapy which gave her a new lease of life for the next 6 months. However, her tumour began to grow and spread at the beginning of 2012 and she sadly passed away on 21 March 2012.</p> <p>Starlight granted Elsie her wish to go to Disneyland, Paris. This was what she had always wanted to do and was an amazing experience for her and us! They sent us off to Disneyland for two nights/three days and arranged absolutely everything seamlessly. Starlight even arranged for Elsie to meet all the Disney princesses personally in a special guided tour which made her so happy. They certainly treated Elsie like a princess and took great care of Oscar and us too.</p> <p>Elsie often asked to go back to Disneyland but had to make do with our trips to the Disney store in London instead, which she greatly enjoyed.</p> <p>Starlight do an amazing job of making dreams come true for very sick children and we are very grateful that they made Elsie's wish come true. They have helped us to create memories that will last a lifetime.</p>
