Story
After having pneumonia in 2008 I’ve had a string of health issues including various degrees of pain throughout my body, extreme mental and physical exhaustion and random parts of me deciding to not work at any given moment. Having been poked and prodded, tested and observed and constantly mis-diagnosed with one thing or another (which is apparently very common in these cases) I’ve finally been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
On hearing this I knew I had to give myself a physical challenge, I had to make friends with my body and start to do amazing things with it instead of in spite of it. For some this may seem like a strange way of thinking but for me, if you knock me down, I rise fighting!
I may spend about 40% of my time walking with a stick, or sleeping because I can barely move, but one way or another, I will complete this 10K, even if I have to crawl the whole thing!
Help keep me motivated by donating (even tiny amounts will keep me going) but most of all donate because the charity and the children they help need it. Thanking you kindly and gratefully, Ema xxx
