Why raise money for one charity and not another? Why HVP? Why Nepal?
The reason is that this is the opportunity that has crossed our path, that has connected us.
I met David, a 3rd year chemistry student at Cambridge who told me about his experience as a teacher at HVP-Dang last summer and his admiration for what the schools have achieved and Chintamani Yogi's, the founding principal, passion in helping Nepal build its next generations.
I met Nichel, a master's student in International Relations from Nepal who told me about the beauty and need of this country.
I wrote to Chintamani Yogi to learn more about his vision and was inspired to join his school for 6 weeks this summer in Dang.
And I have met you. By reading this you have already joined me to Nepal, in making a small difference. Thank you.
HVP is an Education Trust run on a non-profit basis that prides itself in providing a holistic education for children in Nepal, where the ideals of peace, tolerance and international outreach are just as important as academic excellence.
Please see the video for more information on the role of HVP in Nepali education or visit the charity's websites: http://www.hvp-nepal.org/ , http://www.hvpuk.org.uk/ .
