At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

So I have decided to do the 3 peaks challenge; hiking up Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough...That's 24.5 miles and a total climb of 2,142 metres in under 12 hours!!!

The reason we are doing this challenge is to raise money for the Alzheimers Society. A charity very close to my heart which is currently leading in the research of treatments for Alzheimers. They also offer support and advice to people suffering with the condition and their family's.

If you have 5 minutes to spare please follow the link below and watch the video made by the Alzheimers society which gives a great analogy on the condition, and shows the fantastic work they do in raising awareness... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SpQxD90lyE&utm_source=enewsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=17042013dementiafriends
