I'm organising a fundraising concert to raise money for CLIC Sargent, which is an exceptionally important charity that does invaluable work for young people with cancer and leukaemia. These illnesses can be life shattering for those involved but CLIC's support team help both physically and emotionally.

In Autumn 2012, Sophie Williams, then aged 10, was diagnosed with leukaemia. She's currently undergoing treatment and is being supported by CLIC and its social workers. Like many other children in Sophie's position, CLIC is there to help them and their families through their illness.

The concert will be taking place on Saturday 18th May at 6:30pm at Woodmancote School, just outside of Cheltenham. Doors will open at 6:00pm and it will last for approximately 2 hours. It will involve many talented musicians from all over Great Britain, including soloists and ensembles from the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain and Pate's Grammar School, 'Voices' from Woodmancote School, a group from Rock Shed and the 'Guys and Dolls' Cast from the Everyman Youth Company so there really will be something for everyone.
