Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello there!

Yes, I am asking for money again, and I sort of apologise....but only a bit.

This year my challenge isn't running, that's so 2011! No, this year is a real challenge. Proper putting myself out there, living on the edge, taking risks and putting it all on the line. Parachute jump? No. Bungee jump? No. Tough Mudder? No. Sitting in a bath of beans? No.

This year..........I have learned to ride a bike. Oh yes, that's right. After almost 37 years on the planet I have grabbed the bull by the handlebars and finally started to address my cyclophobia (that is a real thing).

What better way to get over it than to do a 100 mile bike ride, on open roads and at a nationally recognised endurance sportive? I don't really know what an "endurance sportive" is, so here's the link: http://humanrace.co.uk/events/cycling/lionheart-sportive, all I know is it's 100 miles, it's hilly, it's snowed two years running and I will be surrounded by middle aged Lycra clad men.......this is not a good thing in my view.

I will be trying to complete the 100 miles (did I mention it's 100 miles??!!) in under 8 hours, or I will be disqualified. And all this in aid of a charity that is dear to my heart, and for which I have recently become a trustee: http://www.positiveactiononcancer.co.uk

If you are able I would be extremely grateful if you could spare a quid or two and help me reach my £500 target.

I have been keeping a blog, which you can follow on Face book. Just look up the page Emily Lionheart. It is ridiculous, so do go and have a laugh.

Please feel free to send an e mail, or post on your social media etc, it all goes a long way.

Thank you for reading this far.

Much love (and sore bumness)

Em xx
