Restless Development exists to ensure that young people in the UK and around the world have the opportunities and support needed to thrive and lead positive change.

Story

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR KIND AND GENEROUS DONATIONS. I MADE IT TO MY TARGET AND AM OFF TO INDIA, ALONG WITH A HUGE CYCLONE (!) TOMORROW.

Good morning. Good evening. Good day.

For 3 months at the end of this year I will be volunteering in India with the NGO Restless Development (as part of the International Citizen Service scheme established by the Department for International Development). I will be focusing on issues affecting young people there, in particular healthcare and livelihood issues. Take a look here - http://www.restlessdevelopment.org/india.

The general objectives of Restless Development's programme in India are to:
/Empower young people to take up leading roles in decision-making processes
//Enable young people to make responsible decisions regarding their basic health and sexual health
///Support young people to secure improved livelihood opportunities

This scheme is largely funded by the government meaning that the money I raise does not go towards my flights or other expenses- rather it goes to Restless Development as a charity so it can continue to develop and implement these grassroots projects across Asia and Africa. This means that Restless Development can continue to make a difference to the lives of local communities.

My fundraising target is £800. In August I will be cycling not once, not twice, but THREE times around the largest reservoir in the UK (Rutland Water) to reach this.

Please help me to do this by sponsoring me today. Remember, I will be wearing tight lycra and enduring a very numb bottom for several days afterwards, all for a very good cause.

I will be wonderfully appreciative for any amount you have to spare, however little!

T.H.A.N.K.Y.O.U.

P.S Watch this space- I may have some other outrageous fundraising activities up my sleeve...
