I’m sure everyone has seen the horrific images of families drowning at sea and freezing in refugee camps across Europe having fled unimaginable terror in Syria…. Community Sponsorship provides a safe route for a refugee family to resettle in the UK. 

Whitechapel Welcomes is a Community Sponsorship group, established by some Citizens UK staff members. The group hope to welcome a refugee family to Whitechapel, East London through the Home Office scheme

As part of the commitment to resettle the family, Whitechapel Welcomes needs to raise £12,000. On May 19th 2019 I’ll be running 13.1 miles at the Hackney Half Marathon and I hope to raise some money for the group. Please, please donate if you are able to– it will make a real difference!
