It's hard to believe that I'll be 40 in just a few days!  In my head I am still definitely 19...20 at a push.  However, my friends, family and passport photo all tell me that this is not the case.  

And as the monumental date rolls around, and the truth sinks in,  the question being asked constantly is "what can we give the girl who has everything?"  

Well, David Beckham in his pants would be lovely, but he's already taken (or is he?).

The truth is, I already have everything I could ever wish for - an amazing family, wonderful friends and vodka.  What more could I possibly want?

Well, there is one pretty huge thing...and that is a cure for brain tumours.  Because, quite frankly, I f***ing hate them. 

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.  Yet just 1% of the national spend goes to research in this area.  I find this unacceptable. 

So, if you would like to make me happy for my birthday, then by all means buy me a drink.  Consider this the bar and please make a small donation to Brain Tumour Research in my name instead.
