Battle of Britain Cycle Challenge 2016, Paris to Geneva · 6 September 2016

The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity. We have been there for all members of the RAF Family for over 100 years. Last year we assisted more than 70,000 members of the RAF Family. Support us in 2025 and help us reach even more members of the RAF Family.

Story

So I'm swapping the leather for lycra and cycling some 360 miles, mostly uphill, from Paris to Geneva.
I've bought my first non engined bike, and discovered a whole other meaning to the term saddle sore.

Besides working for the RAF Benevolent Fund I am also an RAF Reservist. Hopefully I'll never need to come to the Fund for support, though it is comforting knowing that if I ever did need assitance or support, it would be readily available.
I have seen first hand the support the RAF Benevolent Fund gives serving, ex service men and women, their families and dependents. So know the money raised from this slightly ridiculous venture will be put to good use.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - I will be posting regular updates on how the training is going.
