Story

After getting utterly soaked during the Brighton Half I never thought I'd do it again... but the Joshua Hayday Helping Hand Trust is very close to my heart and I'll be running once more in October.

Caring for Joshua presented many challenges and the Trust has been set up to help families facing similar challenges.  We have identified three specific areas where we feel that additional support for families is really needed:

  • Respite care
  • Transport
  • Equipment not provided by the NHS

It is hard to overestimate how devastating it is to discover that your child is seriously ill and/or severely disabled and the enormous strain that families are subjected to in trying to do the best for their children and keep going with some semblance of “normal” life – families still need to work, run homes, look after other children and take a break, things that other families take for granted.

A tiny amount of support will go a long way and make a real difference.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELPING HAND!!! Em xxxx
