My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am very nervous, but thoroughly looking forward to running my first half marathon, and I have decided to run it for Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter.
Located in the shadows of the Malvern Hills, WARS is dedicated to the care and rehoming of dogs, cats and ex-battery hens.
In 2011 there was a 25% increase in the number pets abandoned in the UK - a country that prides itself on being animal lovers. It is now up to charities like WARS to pick up the pieces and find these innocent animals loving new homes.
They need our help more than ever.

Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter
Charity Registration No. 514872
This charity rehomes and rehabiltates unwanted or abandoned animals. At the moment it only caters for dogs but with funding will expand to other animals eg cats. It rehomes about 150 dogs a year and currently is independently funded by a small group of dedicated staff and volunteers.
