In September, I lost my Granny to the cancer that had destroyed her physical health. She was my inspiration and my hero, and watching her deteriorate was heartbreaking for me and my family. My Grandad, her husband, was also killed by cancer a year before I was born, and I feel now that I need to do something to aid in the fight against the disease that has robbed me and so many others of time with the people that they loved, or could have loved.
I know my Granny would be proud that I am doing something, although she'd likely be horrified that I am losing my hair in the process! Ah well, YOLO and all that - plus I've always kind of wanted a pixie cut #twobirds
