On my last voyage I meet a great bunch of crew who have invited me to join their&nbsp;team for the Thames Great River Race. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Tall Ships Youth Trust is a registered charity dedicated to the development of young people&nbsp;of any age&nbsp;through crewing of tall ships.&nbsp;The ship&nbsp;helps anyone who sails her be it Junior Jack or Granny Mo, everyone get a sense of achievement from their experience. I should know my time spent on board has gone a long way to shaping the person&nbsp;I am today.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">The money we race for this event will go towards maintaining the charities fleet of vessels; Brig, Stavros S Niarchos; 4 Challenger class yachts and a new Catamaran. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span>And providing bursaries for young people to help them achieve a challenge otherwise unreachable. </span></p>
