In February 2010, we will be participating in the Challenging Costa Rica Trek in aid of Action Cancer. The challenge:

to complete a 60km hike through jungle and mountain Trek the Talamanca mountain range in 2 national parks on mountain forest trails, in the hot and sticky climate of Costa Rica Stay in a mountain lodge for 2 nights and camp for 3 nights 2 days trekking in the mountains through tropical cloud forest, including a high altitude trail starting from 3491m and dropping to 2220m in one day 1 ascent to base camp on Chirripo.

 

We have pledged to raise £6,000 for Action Cancer, so that they can reach more people with the vital message that early intervention saves lives. Can you help Action Cancer achieve this by supporting me in this challenge?

 

Action Cancer is a leading charity, providing lifesaving cancer prevention services, therapeutic support services and early detection services. Their aim is to save lives and support people.

 

Action Cancer services include early detection clinics for women, a mobile screening unit, health promotion for workplaces, community groups and schools, campaigning, grants for local research projects, counselling and complementary therapy for people living with cancer and their families.
