Story
On the 3rd of May 2014 our dear friends the Brooks family received devastating news, their beautiful 6 year old daughter Daisy had been diagnosed with an incurable DIPG brain tumour.
Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a rare and aggressive brain stem cancer that has a very low survival rate. Brain Cancer research only receives 1% of national research funding.
Despite receiving pioneering brain surgery and chemotherapy, tragically Daisy died during the night after her 7th birthday. The hole she has left in all our lives will never be filled.
Towards the end of her life she was very immobile and poorly and the whole Brooks family received wonderful care from the East Anglian Children's Hospice in Ipswich.
Money raised helps care for many terminally sick children and their families.
