Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

The Muir Maxwell Trust is one of the leading charities in the UK raising funds for paediatric epilepsy. The Trust's remit is to provide practical support to children with severe epilepsy and their carers, to increase awareness and understanding and to help remove the stigma associated with epilepsy.

Story

On the 22nd April I will be running the Virgin London Marathon in aid of the Muir Maxwell Trust (MMT), a wonderful organisation supporting families who have children suffering from a severe form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome.

My best friends son, Jack suffers from Dravet Syndrome and can sometimes have up to 10 seizures a day - he is only 5 years old and I'm sure you'll agree that this is alot for a little boy to endure.

The MMT is an organisation very close to my heart and I have seen the amazing work that they do.

Your donations will be used by the MMT to ensure they can continue supporting families like Jack's and also enable them to continue to carry out essential research and development into Dravet Syndrome and hopefully find a cure for this dreadful illness.

All I ask of you is to put your hand in your pocket/purse and support me in raising lots of money and making a difference.

Love Emma x

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
