Hi,

One slightly delirious day after watching the British Gas Swim Series on the TV I thought it would be a good idea to join 5000 people and swim a mile in the (clean they told me!) Thames. I'm now beginning to regret it and the only way I’m going to get into the freezing cold, dirty water is if I’m doing it for a good cause!

The charity I have chosen to support is the Leicester & Leicestershire Animal Aid (Huncote). It was this home that we recently found a dog (picture above!) to permanently adopt and it broke my heart that we couldn't take them all home.

There are certain animals living there that have difficult needs and because of this have not been able to find permanent homes. I would like to raise money to support not just these animals but all of the animals that are currently up for adoption at Huncote. The team do a fantastic job and hopefully the money raised will make a difference - even if it’s only a small one!!
