DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. We fund pioneering research and provide care and support to individuals and families living with EB.

Story

Hello!

Dan and I have decided to run the Manchester 10k in aid of the charity Debra raising money for the incurable condition EB (Epidermolysis bullosa). My beautiful niece was lost to this condition far too early in her life so we do everything we can as a family to continue to raise support and awareness. EB is a rare condition. It is estimated that one in every 17,000 children born in the UK will have EB. In the UK, there are currently an estimated 5,000 people living with it. There is currently no cure for EB, so treatment aims to relieve the symptoms and prevent complications developing, such as blisters becoming infected. Please give whatever you can spare, and hopefully one day a cure for this terrible condition will be discovered.
