On 4th November this year I will be running the New York Marathon with 9 friends in memory of Jane Burn, my best and oldest friend's Mum who sadly passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in December 2017. 

We will be running in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK to raise funds for those who suffer from, and are affected by this terrible disease. We chose New York City as this was Janey’s favourite city in the world. We would love to have your support in helping us to limit the severity of Pancreatic Cancer  

I knew Janey from just three years old, spending most summer holidays, weekends and school runs with her whilst growing up. Janey’s kind nature and loving personality, alongside her courage and determination were testament to her as she fought bravely throughout her illness and never gave up.  

Chris will be setting up The Three Bears Foundation to continue the support for Pancreatic Cancer above and beyond what we are doing this year. All proceeds from the race will go towards Pancreatic Cancer UK. 

Alongside the Marathon, our group will also be running the Beverley 10k, Great North Run and Cardiff Half Marathon as part of our training.
