Safe Exit at Toynbee hall is a partnership which develops multi-agency initiatives to tackle gaps in service provision for people involved in prostitution in Tower Hamlets. One of those initiatives is a court diversion scheme for women working in prostitution that are arrested for soliciting or loitering. It aims to provide a safe way for women to exit prostitution, provide a gateway for women to access existing services and to reduce the impact of prostitution on communities.
Tower Hamlets continues to be one of the most deprived boroughs in the country. Toynbee Hall works with over 5,000 people from the local community each year, supporting them to meet the challenges that they face and to encourage them to take control of their lives.
To fundraise I'm volunteering to Skydive from an approved British Parachute Association airfield in the UK. There are three types of jump available – an ‘Accelerated FreeFall’ where you can skydive solo from up to 12,000 feet, a ‘Tandem Skydive’ from 10,000 feet attached to a professional instructor and a ‘Static Line’ jump which is performed solo from up to 3,000 feet.
I already have butterflies thinking about this so I haven't chosen the type of jump YET but more information will be updated soon.
