Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

Retina UK is the only UK charity dedicated solely to working for people affected by inherited sight loss. We fund medical research to accelerate the search for treatments for the future, and provide information and support to help people lead better lives today.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Running my first marathon is a huge challenge for me and has taken months of hardwork running in all weather conditions putting the miles in. However my challenge is nothing compared to the daily challenge of my wonderful Mum who has been living with blindness since her late 30s.

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a disease of the eye that leads to loss of vision and blindness. RP Fighting Blindness works hard to stimulate and fund cutting edge research to find a treatment or cure and support those affected.

Thanks to all my friends in David Lloyd Redway Runners for all your help and encouragement and my family for putting up with a distracted Wife/Mum/Daughter/Sister!
