Hi,

I'm proud to be travelling from South Shields to Venice to complete my first marathon on the 26th October 2014 :) The route begins in the Italian Riviera, runs through the country side and finishes in stunning Venice, crossing the Grand Canal.

I wanted to take the opportunity to support a worthy cause in the process. My choice of charity was inspired by my beautiful dog Megan. I was incredibly lucky to find Megan in an animal shelter, and so began research on local shelters, this lead me to Bryson's which is based in Gateshead...

Brysons provide temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned and relinquished animals, and place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes. They rely on the publics generosity to fund their work. To see how good their work is for yourself, click on the link below:
