<p><span style="color: #00ff00;">Last year i completed the half marathon for the local charity The Chestnut Appeal and this year for all my sins i have decided to enter again on behalf of another local charity.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff;"> The Childrens Happy Hospital Fund is a charity that aims to make a difference to all the young patients, their families and their carers at Derriford Hospital and at home. Money raised goes towards new medical equipment, providing facilities for parents and carers and much more. Most importantly they aim to provide a young person friendly environment, currently their aims are to refurbish the play rooms on level 12 of the hospital. I remember having to spend 2 weeks in hospital when i was 9 yrs old and it was so scary to be away from my family and quite boring, i'm sure many of you have been through the same or have/had a child that is a patient.
