Hi everyone, 

Not quite sure what I've let myself in for, however I've got my best friend Jen alongside me to keep me on the right track along the way.

We decided to both donate to Breast Cancer Now.

This is a charity particularly close to me as my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 almost 6 years ago to the day that I will be running in this event.

For those of you who haven't met my mum I'm sure you follow us every year on Facebook  as we go on our annual holiday to Cyprus, I often get asked 'do you really go to the same place and the same hotel every year?

The answer is yes we do, not only is this a place where we now have life long friends and was very much part of my childhood growing up, it's now a place where we went in 2011 to celebrate as my mums treatment was a success. We continue this celebration by returning every year as I am very grateful my mum is still here to tell the tale.

I would also like to recognise my friend Jens reasons for taking part as her partners mum sadly passed away after a battle with breast cancer.

 I know many of my friends and family can relate to this cancer and I would like to give something back to my mum for being so unbelievably strong over the past 6 years and making me the strong independent woman I am today, you are my best friend and have always been there for me, and I am so proud of you. 

Every little counts, please help me contribute to the research of this devastating disease that has affected so many.
