Story

Hi guys,

I was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia in 2005. I have since had two courses of treatment that left me in remission until Spring 2011. My AA has now come back and I have also developed MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) which is the early stages of leukemia. I am now dependent on blood transfusions every 2-3 weeks to keep me going.

The next stage is for me to have a bone marrow transplant which is due on the 8th August thanks to my amazing donor!! Not everyone is as lucky as me though and they will still be waiting to find their donor.

I am doing this run/walk to help raise awareness of the Antony Nolan charity, to encourage people to register to donate bone marrow and to help raise money.

For more information about donating bone marrow please look on the Anthony Nolan website or ask me for further details.

I know its only a 10km run, but I promise you that this will be hard work for me!! There are days when walking up the stairs will make me out of breath so please support me in this!!

Thank you!
