Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. 19 May 2011 sees Liberty International Underwriters host the first

D&O Commercial Market vs. FI Market

‘El Clasico’

Charity football match in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust

This represents the chance to play or spectate at Charlton Athletic FC @ the Valley football ground.

Charity is the name of the game and this sporting battle is a chance to see whether D+O or FI market brokers are the most resourceful. The game begins before the 3pm KO as the side who manages to raise the most money before the match gets the following advantages….

Winners get…

Home dressing room

Home dug out

Use of the liberty football strip

Luxury coach to the ground

Bragging rights for the whole year!!!

Losers get…

Away Dressing Room

Away dug out

Tasteful pink LIU shirt to play in

Public transport to the ground

Reputation for being Scottish

The losers of the match will be getting the bus back into town

We need your support during this epic showdown to ensure a D&O Commercial Market victory!!!

How you can help:

1)    WE NEED YOU – To Play.

We need to assemble a team of eager and willing individuals who would like to pull a shirt on for the pride of the D&O commercial market Any ability welcome – please remember this is for charity. All we ask for is a minimum £25 donation to the TCT. For players this includes chance to play on Charlton Athletics football ground, transport to and from the match, kit, use of the dug out and all food and drink on the day. The individual player who raises the most money will win a day out at the races with the Liberty Ladies.

2)    WE NEED YOU – To Watch

We need lots of support for the team on the day to ensure we cheer them onto victory. All we ask is a £10 minimum donation for your ticket, which of course includes a spectacular football display and all food and drink.

3)    WE NEED YOU - To Donate

If you can’t play or make it down to the ground we still need your support to raise as much money as we can for the TCT!

This can be done in various ways:

o        Buy a virtual ticket (i.e. support in spirit)

o        Donate via sponsor forms available from any D&O commercial underwriter or at the LIU Lloyds’ box

o        Ask your company to support our cause, they can sponsor the Kit, Matchball etc

o        Ask family and friends (and D&O Commercial Underwriters…) to support the cause

o        Use your imagination! If you have a good idea involving a member of the LIU commercial team and will pledge money to see it happen then please suggest it. An example would be paying Tram to make your department cupcakes, or paying Dennis to come round and help with your filing... Ideas have to be within reason and worth the money.

Any individual making a donation of £25 pounds or more will be entered into a spectacular prize draw – Prize details to follow

Our target is GBP 5,000. To help us pass the money milestones we have come up with the following for during the match

GBP 1,000– 'Go @ Get Girl Cheryl Atkins will fetch and carry for you during the match

GBP 2,000 – Up for grabs now! More 'Go @ Get Girls' Lyn Saunders, Tram Dieu & Kirstin Simon to fetch and carry.

GBP 3,000 – To complete the Harem of 'Go & Get' Girls Emma Pearce and Lucy Ling at your disposal

GBP 4,000 – The Liberty Soccerette will make an appearance, with a chance to win her T-Shirt

GBP 5,000 – If we hit our target our star players Dennis Gattinger and Marian Velik will play the full match in netball skirts

Anything above this will see Dennis Gattinger play in a full Soccerette outfit

Payments for the above or any donations can be paid in cash or via the just giving page. If you are paying money for a specific reason, i.e spectator tickets please drop a note to Emma.Pearce@Libertyiu.com detailing what donations are for at time of payment.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Teenage Cancer Trust

Teenage Cancer Trust

Charity Registration No. 1062559

Every day in the UK, six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer. At Teenage Cancer Trust, we understand that cancer doesn’t stop these teenagers being teenagers. We know that young people have a much better chance if they are treated by teenage cancers experts, in an environment tailored to their needs. So we have created specialist units that aren’t like ordinary cancer wards. Everything about them has been designed to give teenagers the very best chance of a positive outcome. And we want every young person with cancer in this country to have that chance.
