In October, I will be taking part in the DLA Piper Simien Mountains Challenge with 45 colleagues from DLA Piper offices all over the world.  To help get me there, I have already completed my 4th marathon in April (in Paris) and also a 69 mile ultramarathon along Hadrian's Wall which I just completed on 20th June!!  All in aid of UNICEF!

DLA Piper and UNICEF have been working together in an award winning partnership since 2013.  The main challenge is to embark on a 4 day trek across the Simien Mountains in Ethiopia.  The aim is to ascend Africa's 5th highest mountain, Mount Bwahit (4,450 m) on day 6.

The funds raised from this event will go towards supporting UNICEF's child justice programmes in order to ensure that children who come into contact with the law, whether as victims, witnesses or offenders, are properly protected.

Those of you who know me, know that I am a keen sportswoman and always looking for the next challenge.  I am also passionate about making a difference and this is a great opportunity to combine both of those passions!
