Story
Hi everyone,
I am taking part in a 24 hour cycle challenge on 21st June to raise money for the Memusi Foundation to help build a secondary school in Kenya. I will also be going out to Kenya in January 2015 to help volunteer with the Memusi Foundation which I am really looking forward to!
The 24 hour challenge will involve 100 teams of 6 cyclists on static bikes, breaking a World Guinness Record, with a target to raise to aim at least £35,000 for charity!
The Memusi Foundation has a mission - it provides hope for the people around the world through access to education. In firm belief that education is the primary way for people to escape poverty in their lifetime, The Foundation works with communities around the world to provide sustainable solutions.
The Memusi Foundation endeavour to strengthen their work throughout Sub-Saharan Africa through providing commitment to a community to develop schools with a ‘one classroom per year’ basis. £35,000 is all it takes to build a much needed secondary school in Kenya. The additional funds raised will be used to help the Memusi Foundation provide educational opportunities to more children in rural Africa.
All donations will be very much appreciated!
Thanks, Emma x
