Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many will know that last August my Mum lost her long battle against Cancer. She bravely fought for over three and a half years, enduring 6 rounds of Chemo as well as other problems arising from the Cancer. Never once did she complain about what she was going through. Towards the end she and Dad needed help and Mum was lucky enough to be admitted to St Richard's hospice. The care and support that they provided was outstanding and the surroundings beautiful. Mum said that should she have to end her days there it would be a nice place to be.
She did go home but was readmitted the week before she died. In that final week she received amazing care from all at the hospice and there support was crucial in helping us all through those tough and heartbreaking final days. My family and I cannot thank St Richard's enough and so I have decided to run (or plod) round Cheltenham Half to raise money for this wonderful charity. Before I started this training I had run a maximum of 5 miles in one go. I think I am improving but one way or another I will get round and hopefully Cal will be cheering me on from up above!
Thanks for reading this and for your support.
