After running last year for the first time I was adamant I would take part again this year. It was such a lovely sunny day and also very emotional but was worth every single minute!! I managed to raise over £400 which I never even imagined to raise half of! All thanks to you lovely people! :):) (annnd I actually enjoyed the running!)

Although last year I donated all the money to Cancer Research, this year I will be sending it all to Brain Tumour Research. http://www.braintumourresearch.org/

My Dad was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumour in October 2011, which is the ‘most common and most aggressive malignant primary brain tumour in humans’. Everything all happened so quickly from there on in; he has been in and out of hospital for removals, debulkings, infections, wounds, radiotherapy, chemotherapy/ chemo wafers, seizures and even skull removal. All of which was unbelievably painful to see happen to him. My Dad has been so so brave throughout all of this and has an unbelievably positive attitude towards it all! Don’t know how he does it sometimes!

Learning more about and seeing on a regular basis just how it affects someone is absolutely devastating, although they will be able to operate on my dad the tumour unfortunately will keep returning. This is why I have to donate all my money to this particular cause, not many people know that much about Brain Tumours and astonishingly only 1% of cancer funding goes to Brain Tumour Research! Tumours affect physically and emotionally and are heartbreaking for the person and the families.  

I cannot stress how important this is to me and how much I would appreciate if you could again donate to this cause, please help me stick two fingers up to cancer! :) and get me into this exercise malarkey again! ;)
